Have over the years visited this jeweller on several occasions, having rings made (engagement ring for my wife and wedding rings for both of us) have also purchased other gifts. Only problem was with a Dreyfuss watch which was sorted very quickly and to my complete satisfaction.

Personally I found the staff in this shop to be rude und unhelpful. I was charged £45 to reduce my engagement ring by one size. I was promised it would be ready within 24 hours but when I returned to collect it they refused to let me have it back until their "settings guy" had looked at it - which would take another 2 days. They offered no apology or explaination for the extra time and behaved patronisingly towards me. I definitely won't be shopping here again.

Great friendly helpful staff wouldn't shop anywhere else. I was so happy to be able to design my own wedding ring but when I saw the final ring I could not believe how perfect it turned out. I was helped and advised every step of the way making my special purchase even more perfect. Thank you to the team!

UNJUSTIFIABLY OVER PRICED! Today I was charged £15 to remove a link from my watch bracelet (a routine job which took under 5 minutes). The next shop I walked into wanted £3!! I returned to pick up the watch and asked why I had been charged so much - the reply was: "well you paid it at the time so should have looked around, it's a complicated procedure requiring specialist tools".
I have since done what he recommended and the most expensive place I can find charges £10. This mark up is completely unjustifiable and certainly not compensated for by the brusque if not directly rude customer service. We have had great specialist work done in the past but steer clear for routine jobs.

I have to say i had quite the opposite experience when choosing our engagement ring yesterday (27-06-13), though i can't comment on whether they offer refunds i do hope i won't need to find out!
I found both members of staff on the day very attentive and patient considering i must have tried on every style in the shop until we found one that was perfect. The staff at no point were interested in talking money and i undoubtedly tried on styles that were completely outside our budget with the staff solely concerned with finding a style that i liked.
